Arts Practices for Inclusion Action Research Projects
Research has been a cornerstone in the evolution of Arts Practices for Inclusion (API), not as a separate or parallel activity, but as an integral way of understanding practice itself. From its early stages, API has engaged with research as a means of tracing impact, deepening inquiry, and reflecting on the relational and experiential shifts that emerge through arts-based processes. Across the years, this engagement has taken both qualitative and quantitative forms—ranging from reflective facilitation narratives and thematic analyses to structured tools measuring social, emotional, and inclusion outcomes. This dual approach has allowed API to remain grounded in lived experience while also building a growing body of evidence that speaks to the transformative potential of the arts in fostering inclusion across diverse contexts
